    蔡總統說，台灣、日本都屬於海洋國家，海洋事務應有很多共同問題，及共同利益可發展。政府非常期待「台日海洋事務合作對話」機制，希望透過這對話，就雙方相關海洋事務議題廣泛交換意見，包括漁業資源養護合作問題、海上急難救助及海洋科學研究這些項目，都非常有意義。
